Our Story
Founded in 1983 by Hugh Little in Cary, North Carolina, Capital Associates has grown from a couple of employees to a thriving operation with over 50 employees. Working in Las Colinas, Texas in the early 80’s, Little was able to identify the potential of growth in the Triangle based on the companies operating in Research Triangle Park, the higher education infrastructure, and the quality of life available in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area. Little’s desire to create a real estate company in the Triangle demonstrated his vision of where the local real estate trends were headed over the next four decades.
Capital Associates developed, managed, and leased its own properties in a high-quality manner unknown to the market at the time. Property owners noticed our successful model, and our company was then solicited to lease and manage other owners’ properties. Our attention to detail and business philosophy has been appreciated by business leaders and tenants alike allowing us to grow and perfect our tenant representation and corporate services platform over the past 36 years.
