Wendy Ruggiero

Wendy joined Capital Associates in 2016 and is responsible for all accounting and financial reporting, information systems, banking relationships, tax planning, administration, and human resources.

She has extensive experience in financial services.  Wendy was the Treasurer and Director of Human Resources at Morgan Creek Capital Management, LLC for over seven years before joining QMS Capital Management LP as their Finance Director and Head of Human Resources.

Wendy also spent over thirteen years in public accounting starting out with Berkow Schechter & Company in Stamford, Connecticut before joining Blackman & Sloop, CPAs PA in Chapel Hill in 1998.  As Tax Manager, her focus was in tax and her client responsibilities included tax planning, consulting and compliance in various industries as well as working with individuals, businesses, and trust and estates.

Wendy is currently the Board Chair and board member for the Autism Support & Advocacy Center. She is also a former board member and Treasurer of SECU Family House. She is also a former board member and Treasurer for the NCACPA Foundation. Wendy is active with the Triangle Commercial Real Estate Women (TCREW) and is currently a board member.

Wendy graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She is a member of The American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the North Carolina Association of CPAs (NCACPA).  She also holds the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation.
